The way of the Gods

Those who believe that they hold all of the keys are fools. No one person is able to understand the entirety of existence. In order to understand everything, one must rule over it. Thus is the way of the Gods, and their Slayers.

Slayers

A sword is a warrior’s best friend. Magic is a mage’s. A Slayer has no one true friend. He relies on knowledge, strength, and the power of the Gods he has slain.

Seeking the Gods

It is common knowledge in the arcane realms that if you seek something, you need only find a witch. Witches are powerful, and magic can be used to locate what it is you seek. This is how I found the God of Shadows upon his Midnight Throne. I knew at the moment I met him that I would be forced to slay him.

The False Gods

I myself am a slayer of these beings who claim divinity. A witness to their atrocities. The ‘Gods’ who do not help their followers. They are unholy beings. More Demons than Gods. They spread evil and darkness through the world, and corrupt it, feeding lies to men and giving false hope.They are the bane of our existence, yet they claim to be our origin, and as such, they beg to be destroyed.

Introduction

Within this world of ours, there are many mysteries. The very fabric of our own existence is one of them. While it’s clear that no one man holds the answer, that does not mean that it is a mystery entirely. The fragments of knowledge are held by those who claim to be Gods. Beings of enormous strength and knowledge. Not quite those who are idolized by humanity, but Gods nonetheless. This Codex is a collection… A documentation of the fragments of knowledge collected from these Gods. Indeed, this is the tale of the God Slayers.
